Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of photowallah (the “Service”), operated by [Your Company Name]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

photowallah lets event organizers upload photos and share a gallery, and lets guests log in to view those photos and optionally take a selfie to find photos of themselves using facial recognition. Matching is automated and probabilistic — results may be incomplete or occasionally incorrect.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

3. Organizer responsibilities

If you upload photos as an Organizer, you represent and agree that:

• You have the rights and any consents necessary to upload the photos and to have faces in them analyzed for search, in line with applicable privacy and biometric laws.
• You will obtain consent where required from people appearing in the photos, including minors, and will honor their requests regarding their images.
• You are the controller of your event's content; we process it on your behalf to provide the Service.
• You are responsible for how you share event links and PINs and for who you grant access to.

4. Guests and face search

Using “Find your photos” is optional. When you do, your selfie is processed in memory only to match against that event's photos and is not stored — see our Privacy Policy. You may browse the gallery without using face search.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you lack the rights or consents to share, or use anyone's image without a lawful basis.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, PINs, or authentication, or access events you are not authorized to view.
• Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute others' photos without permission, or use the Service to identify or surveil people outside its intended purpose.
• Disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service.

6. Content and license

Organizers retain their rights in the photos they upload. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process (including generating face descriptors), and serve that content solely to operate the Service. We claim no ownership of your content.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that face matching will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Your Company Name] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful or unlawful.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and contact
